The aim of this pilot test is to compare the results of Kurjak Antenatal Neurological Test (KANET) between high and low risk pregnancies and to evaluate the feasibility of using this test on a larger scale in Brazil. METHODS: The KANET test was applied in high-risk pregnancies (n = 40) and low risk (n = 74), and compared the results. RESULTS: There was a significant difference between the groups at high and low risk pregnancies for all individual parameters of fetal behavior assessed by KANET’s test. All abnormal result of KANET (scores between 0 and 5) came from high-risk pregnancies (12.5%). Forty percent of highrisk pregnancies were borderline against 13.6% of low-risk (scores between 6 and 9) and 86.4% of low-risk pregnancies were normal compared to 47.5% of high-risk (scores between 10:16). All significant values. Comparing the final values of KANET, low-risk patients had a mean of 13.2 against 10.3% in high-risk, both are framing the score considered normal CONCLUSION: This successful preliminary study KANET in Brazil showed significant differences in fetal behavior between low and high-risk pregnancies, and can be used as the feasibility of information and identify the necessary changes to create a larger study.
