Abstract

The deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a common disorder, which can lead to a pulmonary embolism with a life risk and/or a vein insuficiency if not diagnosed and adequately treated. The clinical diagnostic is hard because the pacients with DVT have not specific complains, and they can be asymptomatic. A reliable and successful method to a not invasive evaluation of patients who can have DVT of lower limbs has become totally needed. The ultrasonographic evaluation of the vein system of the lowers limbs and became the main the backbone to the DVT diagnoses on the lower extremities. This work is a descriptive study, its purpose is a literary revision, researching concepts, searching for the current information of literary work, books and availiable articles in the virtual and conventional library.
