Abstract

The urinary system consists of kidneys, renal pelvis, ureters, bladder and urethra. Ultrasound identifies the shape, size, location and collection systems of the kidneys and adjacent tissues. This article aims to identify the most common findings documented by ultrasound examination of the urinary tract and assess the prevalence of calculi found in tests performed in clinical diagnostics Fertile in 2008 and 2009, comparing these findings with the literature. Of all analyzed 288 examinations (25.9%) had urinary calculus, 644 (59.8%) were characterized as normal ultrasound examinations and 160 (14.3%) had some other relevant diagnostic ultrasound.
