Abstract

The prostate is usually based on problems that have great clinical relevance, the high frequency of their occurrence. Changes in prostate volume may be a consequence of benign pathologies (benign hyperplasia) and of malignancies (adenocarcinoma). The benign prostatic hyperplasia affects about 10% of men aged 30 years and is found in 90% of individuals over 90 years. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and appears in about 18% of them until the end of their lives.
