Abstract

Congenital infections are infections transmitted after maternal infection and that can cause harm to the fetus acutely or persistently. The objective of this study is to report a case of extensive fetal brain lesion seen in ultrasound, a characteristic of Zika vírus infection, but with a final diagnosis of congenital cytomegalovirus.
