The Twin reverse arterial perfusion sequence (TRAP) refers to a rare complication, exclusive to monochorionic twin pregnancies, in which a twin with absent or rudimentary heart (“acardiac twin”) is perfused by its co-twin through arterial anastomoses on the placental surface. This paper aims to describe a case of a TRAP sequence that occurred in a maternity hospital in Goiânia, GO, detected at an early stage of pregnancy by ultrasonographic examination and solved by means of vascular sclerosis in a minimally invasive procedure, which also used ultrasonography and resulted in success.
