Abstract

OBJECTIVES: To define the most frequent topographic findings among the cardiac conditions observed on fetal echocardiography, to establish the most frequent maternal age in fetal echocardiographic examinations and to establish the frequency of altered findings. MATERIAL AND METHODS: A retrospective cross-sectional study in which 101 fetal echocardiography studies were performed at the Fértile clinic between 10/01/2018 to 03/25/2018. The analyzed variables were the findings, the maternal age and the frequency of each finding. RESULTS: The most frequent range of alterations was 25 to 35 years, the frequency of alterations found was 6.9% and the most frequent alteration was golf ball. CONCLUSION: The frequency of altered findings according to the proposed study was 6.9%; the maternal age group with the greatest number of alterations at the fetal echocardiographic exam was between 25 and 35 years. As for the findings of more frequent abnormalities, ‘’golf ball ‘’ was the most frequent alteration, followed by interventricular communication and arrhythmias.
