Ultrasound profile of women in basic investigation of the ovarian factor

Abstract

OBJECTIVE: describe the profile of patients in investigation basic of infertility, without any pelvic disease and with ovulatory cycles spontaneous of a particular clinic of Goiania, Goiás. METHODS: descriptive retrospective study in which they were investigated 180 handbooks of women in investigation basic of ovulation, of which there were excluded 100 women who used ovulation inductors and 31 women who have not done all the necessary exams. The data of these 49 handbooks were registered in the program Microsoft Excel 2007 and analyzed by the authors. RESULTS: the profile of patients includes age group from 18 to 35 years (61, 22 %); mostly of the cycles were ovulatory ones (79.59 %), day of the ovulation between the 12th and the 18th day (79, 48 %) and a ovulatory endometrium (mm) between 8 mm and 12mm (51, 28 %). CONCLUSION: Patients with infertility in ultrasound investigation of the ovarian factor present themselves predominantly young (18 to 35 years - 61, 22 %), the cycles are predominantly ovulatories (79, 59 %), where the ovulation happens around 14th day (79, 48 %), with appropriated endometrial response (51, 28 %).
