Intestinal invagination is an anatomy functional alteration in the form of intestinal obstruction and consists of the penetration of a proximal segment of the intestinal loop into the immediately distal segment of the loop, substantially altering the vascular base of the mesentery, causing compression, with consequent edema, ischemia, possible necrosis and sometimes perforation with peritonitis. The objective of this study was to report a case of intestinal invagination with a safe diagnosis and rapid intervention, grounding the knowledge for emergency department attendants.
