Mesenteric cyst
report of a case
Keywords:
cyst, mesenteric, rare, few symptomsAbstract
Mesenteric cyst is a rare abdominal disease usually found incidentally during the imaging of the abdomen or abdominal mass search. It causes no symptons or just a few, and it is commonly found in females. The ultrasound exam is a great diagnostic tool, with sensitivity between 85% and 100%. The computed tomography (CT) allows a better evaluation of the relation of the cysts with adjacent organs. The treatment is done through surgery and it consists of the surgical removal of the cyst, either by laparotomy or video laparoscopy with or without segmental enterectomy
