Abstract

OBJECTIVES: The aim of this paper is to review the focal nodular hyperplasia and main sonographic criteria through literature review. In addition to conducting a case report. METHODS: This is a literature review of research, descriptive, exploratory and case report. RESULTS: The evolution of this type of technology allows to identify smaller and smaller lesions, and thus of utmost importance to recognize the main aspects of the most common liver tumors and some of its features can help the sonographer to contribute concretely and positively in the diagnostic approach of focal nodular hyperplasia and the management of these patients. CONCLUSION: The importance of the sonographer in the diagnosis of the focal nodular displasia is in the diferentiation of other liver tumours, recommending a conservative approach and the waiting for the biopsy.
