3/4D ultrasound application in dysmorphic examination of the syndromic fetuses
Keywords:
ultrasonography 3/4D, prenatal, diagnosisAbstract
We describe two cases of syndromic fetuses where 3D/4D ultrasound collaborated in prenatal diagnosis. We used this feature to better characterize the syndromic presentation, as in both cases karyotypes were normal, requiring the association of diagnostic imaging. We cover the various purposes of sonographic examination in obstetrics, arguing that the 3D/4D ultrasound plays a key role in dysmorphic study, which integrates the syndromic diagnosis made in reference services in Fetal Medicine existing in some Brazilian centers.
